Zelloscope began as a project within Diab Group AB, who needed a way to keep track of foam quality in their PET foam production. To solve the challenge, 2550 Engineering AB was tasked with exploring new technologies for full in-line, real-time quality and process control.

 

The result was an AI model that could scan and segment a full slab of PET foam in-line, fast enough to analyze millions of cells in real time and deliver insights directly to the operators. The technology was later patented and packaged into a complete inline system.

 

In early 2025, the software and hardware were spun off into a separate company: Zelloscope.
